Sabrina graduated from Lone Star College Cyfair with an Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in 2008. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University in 2018 with a focus on adult education. Sabrina is registered and proficient in multiple sonography specialties and most recently received a certificate in POCUS scanning from POCUS.org
Her passion in education has driven her to work as a sonography Instructor for the past seven years in the Houston area. Her latest endeavor, Pocus Med, is geared towards educating Healthcare Providers with cutting edge technology to improve their patient care techniques and outcomes.
When Sabrina is not lecturing, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her friends, family & pets.
Dr. Wang is an Emergency Medicine Physician currently practicing in Houston, Texas. She received her B.S. from Duke University and her M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine. She went on to graduate from UPMC residency in emergency medicine before moving back to Texas to be closer to her family.
Dr. Wang was drawn to medicine because it provided the opportunity to pursue lifelong learning and to improve the lives of and health of other people. She fell in love with emergency medicine in her third year of med school. She enjoys the opportunity to practice a broad range of skills in her work and the ability to bring healthcare and healthcare education to populations with limited access. Dr. Wang has conducted research on many topics related to early intervention and has had extensive exposure to a variation of emergency services including free standing ER’s to in-flight resuscitation.
When Dr. Wang is away from work, she enjoys traveling, cycling, gardening and spending time with her furry friends.
William Miller is a full-time Paramedic in the greater Houston area. He is currently a Captain for an agency south of Houston and is attached to two area SWAT teams as a SWAT Medic. William has worked for multiple EMS agencies in his career. He has a passion for teaching, tactical medicine and critical care medicine. In addition to being a Nationally Certified Paramedic, William is a board certified Flight Paramedic and board certified Tactical Paramedic. He also holds certifications in Advanced Medical Life Support, Prehospital Trauma Life Support and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care to name a small few.
When William was first introduced to POCUS he fell in love with all the applications it had in the pre-hospital environment and finds an excuse to use it on every patient he can. William has partnered with Pocus Med to help others grow as pre-hospital providers.
When William is not working on the ambulance or armored vehicle he enjoys a good book, boring history podcasts and long walks to his bedroom so he can catch up on missed sleep.
Megan graduated with her AAS in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from San Jacinto College in 2014. She has since spent most of her time working in a hospital setting performing a wide range of ultrasound procedures. She has always enjoyed working with students who rotated through her clinical site, so she was thrilled to be asked to join the Pocus Med team and help educate other healthcare providers.
When Megan isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and family, traveling, and exercising.
